Safety & Risk Management

Duty of care, engineered in

Universities carry a duty of care that does not board the plane home, and corporate clients carry it for their people. Our risk architecture is designed for the people who have to answer for it: programme directors, deans, HR leaders, and the institution's insurers.

Risk management is not a policy document we attach to proposals. It is built into destination selection, supplier vetting, insurance architecture, and on-ground protocols before a single booking is made. Eighteen years, 1,700+ programmes, every cohort home safely. And a standing invitation to your risk office to test how we work.

Before Departure

Most risk is retired before anyone flies

Every destination is risk-assessed before it is proposed, reviewed against current government travel advisories and our own on-ground intelligence. Suppliers come from a vetted network of established relationships, not one-off bookings, and transport, venues, and accommodation are held to consistent standards worldwide.

Insurance is structured to meet institutional requirements, including primary and excess liability layers where partner contracts demand them, with certificates provided to your administration before departure. Cohorts receive pre-departure safety and security briefings covering destination-specific guidance, communication protocols, and emergency contacts.

On the Ground

Named people, not a hotline

Every programme runs with a named programme manager and local ground team who know the itinerary, the cohort, and the escalation path. Support is available around the clock for the duration of the programme. Faculty and participants have direct contacts, not a call centre.

Daily logistics are actively managed rather than assumed: transport confirmed ahead of each movement, venues re-checked, and headcounts maintained at every transition. Small disciplines, applied consistently, are what an eighteen-year safety record is made of.

When Things Change

Contingency is a plan, not an improvisation

Every itinerary carries contingency planning: alternate transport, backup venues, and tested cancellation and recovery procedures. Escalation protocols define who is contacted, in what order, and with what authority, on our side and yours, before anything happens.

When the unexpected does arrive, from weather disruption to regional advisories to programme cancellation, our job is to protect the cohort first and the institution's position second, with clear communication to your administration throughout. We have managed live recoveries of cancelled programmes, including negotiated resolutions with venues and insurers, and that experience is built into how we plan.
